Family Overrides
The Families panel lets you replace and transform Revit Loadable Families (referred to simply as families) synced from Revit. Overrides are applied per family type and are non-destructive.
Browsing families
- Search — filter by name
- Selected only — show families on currently selected objects
- Select linked — select all objects using the chosen family
- Copy / Paste — transfer overrides between families
- Reset — remove overrides for the selected family

Object
Controls what replaces the synced family geometry. Replacement Type has two options: Append places the replacement object or collection alongside the original geometry, and Replace removes the original geometry and substitutes the chosen object or collection instead. Source switches between replacing with a single object or a collection of objects.

Transform
Adjusts the position and orientation of placed family instances.

Randomize
Adds random variation to placed family instances. Useful for vegetation, furniture, and repetitive elements.

| Cull Factor | Randomly removes this fraction of instances. At 0.3, roughly 30% of instances are removed. Useful for creating natural variation in dense placements |
| Cull Seed | Seed for culling. Change this to get a different set of removed instances |
